On the way to therapy, Bud recalls a certain date with Harriet
Harriet reminisces too.
The conversation turns uncomfortable for Bud (and Harriet too).
Bud's first time away from the bars.
He's excited that he's feeling so good and is ahead of schedule.
His therapist tells him he needs to be patient and not overdo it.
After therapy, he meets his friend Sean Stiles at a bar.
Stiles spots a pretty woman and sends her a drink--to Bud's surprise.
Bud feels bad when Stiles goes over to talk to the woman. He thinks Stiles is being rejected.
Bud touches his crutches and decides to leave.
He's feeling bad on the way home.
Harriet wants to know what's wrong.
Bud tells her about Stiles and how he can't believe Stiles could be so up front about his missing limb.
Perhaps Bud feels self-conscious himself.
At his next therapy session, Bud says he's not doing so well.
He tells his therapist he's having some pain.
Then, Stiles shows up and lo and behold, the girl from the bar is with him--much to Bud's surprise!
His therapist seems to understand, and Bud seems to be doing better as well.
