JAGnik Reminders
Hello fellow JAGniks. Summer reruns are upon us, and if you've never had the pleasure of lounging around here during the summer, get ready for all sorts of fun to pass those long, dark, dreary weeks!
Round Robins are a GREAT way to pass the time. Some will be planned and some will be spontaneous. EVERYONE may participate. Feel free to start or plan one any time. Summer projects, Mad Libs, Alphabet Stories and who knows what else will be abundant as well.
It is probably a good idea to read (or reread) the FAQs--go up to the first drop-down menu and click on "FAQs"--it will give some idea of how things work around here.
To make this as enjoyable as possible for everyone, we've come up with some guidelines. We'll number them for your convenience:
1. As this board is rated PG and we want parents to know their children are safe here (well, as safe as they can be w/us loonies!), PLEASE be mindful of your language. We know that sometimes, frustration takes over, but try not to use "bad words" (even if you type them with "$%&%*^") and be mindful of STRONG sexual innuendo.
2. PLEASE be courteous to other posters. This is not usually a huge problem, but it has been noticed that, in frustration, some of us tend to forget that there is another real, live person on the other end with feelings. Disagree ALL YOU LIKE, but please do not call other posters names or dismiss their views and opinions.
3. For security reasons, the IP numbers (the numbers that tell from where you are posting) have been turned off from public view. We felt that some strings just gave out far too much information and it could expose posters (especially the younger ones) to trouble. BUT, the numbers are still visible to the moderators. So, if you're trying to insult people or stir up trouble by being "anonymous", you're not.
4. Please do not post disparaging comments about the PERSONAL LIVES of the actors/actresses. This means saying that Jingo is only on JAG because his father is a famous canine connected with the show is NOT acceptable. Saying that Jingo's a horrible actor, is (while not really a NICE thing to say) within boundaries, a topic to discuss.
5. At some point, SPOILERS will begin to trickle out. PLEASE be courteous and post them--and all related discussion of spoilers--INSIDE. If you're not sure HOW to post inside, please ask--either email the moderators or ask on the board.
6. OT posts, as always, are acceptable. In summer, they're even more abundant than during the season. But, every once in a while, let's talk about JAG.
