Question: Did Patrick Labyorteaux, who plays Bud on JAG, really lose a leg, or is that amputated leg the result of computer magic?
Answer: It's part computer magic, part visual effects and part the flexibility of Labyorteaux, 37.
"Patrick has to be bolted into a special protheses and work for hours with his leg bent behind him," says Avery Drew, a JAG producer. "He is an amazingly patient human being."
